The Collinsville High School Class of ’92 reunion committee met again last night at Jennifer Osaben’s house to discuss the progress of the group since the September meeting.

Our main goal for the reunion is to make this fun and include as many people as possible. We want classmates to feel comfortable in reuniting with former classmates by renewing old friendships and making new ones.

The reunion committee is excited to announce that we have secured a location and date for the reunion. The reunion will take place at the Edwardsville Gun Club on Saturday, September 1, 2012. The committee is planning other activities for that weekend including a casual mixer on Friday night and other activities earlier in the day on Saturday. Stay tuned for more details.

Currently, we have researched and contacted several local DJs and a few photographers for the event, but have yet to make any confirmations. One area we are still working on is food. We hope to include a full meal in the evening, but this depends what prices we receive from local caterers. The plan at this point is to offer draft beer free and possibly other drinks, but mixed drinks will be a cash bar.

The goal of the committee is to keep costs of the reunion as low as possible while acting responsible about what we are spending as a group. The reunion committee will meet again in November to start finalizing some decisions on our to do list. In the next couple of months we will release more details including costs.
